Hello! My name is Ashley, and I’m a loved, imperfect Christian. A proud follower of Jesus.

I am thirty-three and mother of two very different fabulous young ladies who will always brighten your day and also a step mom of two other very smart, intelligent, loving young ones. We own a dog named river. She is a Begal and about one. We also have a beautiful long haired, white and black cat and her name is Quinn.

Me and the girls like to go for walks, bike rides, cafes, eating and of course shopping for clothes. Frenches is always a hit. The boys like to fish hunt and trap and as a family we are always up for camping and back woods adventures.

Most days are busy and hectic but I enjoy ever last minute of it even when it does get tough. When things get tough, I know I have God to lean on and help get me through.

I once was lost but I now been found. That’s right, the Holy Spirit got a hold of me and wasn’t letting me go and I am forever thankful. I am so excited about the changes that have taken place in my life and about the things I have learned that I want to tell you about it.

I have been through some things and done some things that I thought God could not forgive me for. Little did I know how much he loved me. His love is like no other and I pray that you will keep an open mind, hear Jesus’s word, believe and see for yourself. Check out this video I shared on my facebook page ashlsxoxo.

My responsibility as a christian is to get the Good news out there, so I started this blog in hopes to bring you closer to God, to hear the Gospel and be saved. I will pray that you choose the one who created you. God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit. I will pray that the Holy Spirit will open your heart and minds to receive the truth.

Some of my favorite verses that keep me going:

  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
  • Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 6:14
  • I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

I have a passion for God and it breaks my heart that there are people in this world who do not know God. I hope for those of you who do not know him will learn about him here and I also hope to be an inspiration to others through my Journey, my bumps, past experiences and my struggles.

You see, I grew up in church until I was about 12. I had got saved before we stopped going. I was very young when I did that and didn’t fully understand what that meant until recently. Going to church on Sundays gave me morals and taught me about Jesus (which I am so grateful for….thanks mom for taking us πŸ™‚ ) but it did not stop me from taking the wrong path and straying away. However, I feel as though God did not leave me and I have found my way back to church. Read about it here. I am extremely grateful and thankful for the church that I attend now, I am thankful for them being accepting and non-judgmental. Because of them I was able to feel comfortable siting in church again and I was able to hear the message and allowed the holy spirit to do his work in my heart and in my life.

Since then I have been shown great love, mercy, forgiveness and acceptance. I may feel I did not deserve it as I have done things I am ashamed of and not proud of (haven’t we all?). But there is a kind of love that only Gods knows. He is not yet done with you or me. God uses the broken.
