Set Backs

2020 has set me back in life a bit. How about you? The isolation, the heartache, the fighting, disagreements, trials, all of it, has taken a toll on our mental health on all of us as well as the physical on some of us. I am sure you all get it and I don’t need to get into the details. Old habits die hard and I am a sinner. That does not mean I am no longer a child of God. That does not mean I am not forgiven. We all fail, we just need to get back up. I have learned what I did wrong and now know what to do when things get hard instead of falling back into old ways. We win by losing.

Luke 17:3-4

3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

That being said I have put in place a plan for a better 2021 and am coming back stronger than before.

My 2021 plan and tools to get me to where I need to be to be the christian God has intended for me to be.

It has been my plan to get back to where I was for a few months now and praying and thinking about how I was going to do so. I woke up yesterday not really having a plan and then it hit me. I have been provided with all these tools to help me and then came up with the calendar idea and worked on it most of the day. My motivation is now on a next level.

Living this way is much more enjoyable mentally and physically. Allowing God to have first place in your life is an amazing feeling that words can not describe. Rather than going through this world alone and feeling like you are on a roller coaster at times, or in a storm even, wouldn’t it be better to go through life with Jesus right beside you and riding that roller coaster with you. I am not saying you are never going to have trials or tribulations throughout your walk with Christ but it will be easier to overcome them while you depend and rest in him. He will hold you together, he will lift you up, he will keep you strong, he will not leave you, he will love you.

Isaiah 43:1-2

43 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

John 16:33

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

How do you plan to make 2021 better?!

In Power

1 Thessalonians 1:5

5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

The power of the Holy Spirit changes people when they believe the Good News. When we tell others about Christ, we must depend on the Holy Spirit to open their eyes and convince them that they need salvation. God’s power — out our cleverness or persuasion — changes people. Without the work of the Holy Spirit, our words are meaningless. The Holy Spirit not only convicts people of their sin but also assures them of the truth of the Gospel.

The Gospel came “in power”; it had a powerful effect on the Thessalonians. Whenever the Bible is heard and obeyed, lives are changed! Christianity is more than a collection of interesting facts; it is the power of God to everyone who believes. What has God’s power done in your life since you first believed?

For me? God has made me do a complete 180 with my life. I have quite smoking, quite Alcohol, as well as repented of a lot of sins and I am still continuing to do, as we know God works over time and things don’t always happen over night. I started being a better role model for my kids! My overall attitude, mind set and how I see things has changed for the better. I have finally left the past in the past and got over things that happened to me and people that have wrong me. This took time. A lot of time, but in the process I learned so much about myself that I didn’t realize before even though it was right there in front of me. I am happier, more at peace and more content with my life and the way things are. Even when things get tough and believe me, they do!

Overall I love my life and everyone in it. Is it perfect? Gosh no, am I perfect? far from. I am a sinner battling with my old fleshly ways, always. That’s OK because I have God, I trust God with my life and everything and everyone in it. I know he is guiding me and working in me. He loves me and forgives me for my sin. He is the one who NEVER left my side EVER, even when I strayed like the sheep. He also gave his only son to forgive me of my sins. Think about that for a moment…….For that I will always ever be grateful and be of service to him in anyway I can be. It is because of that, that I am saved and not going to spend eternity in Hell. You can have this in your life as well. Click here to find out how!

Be Blameless For Our Sin

Colossians 1:23

23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

If you are wanting to be blameless, just trust Jesus Christ to take away your sin. We must remain rooted and firm like a tree, in the Gospel, putting our confidence in Jesus alone to forgive our sins, to make us right with God, and to grant us the power through him to live the way he chooses.

When a judge in a court of law declares the defendant “not guilty,” the person is acquitted of all the charges. Legally, it is as if the person has never been accused. When God forgives our sins, our record is wiped clean. From his perspective, it is as though we have never sinned. God’s solution is available to all of us regardless of our background or past behaviour.”

Romans Road

Road to Salvation
Road to Salvation

Romans 3:23

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

All have sinned and we just cannot help that. We are human. Sinned started way back in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit.

Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sin leads to death. We are sinners. This means God can’t have anything to do with us because He is perfect. BUT God want’s to have personal relationship with us…so what did He do?

Romans 5:8

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

God shows us His love for us (his enemies)

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He gave his only Son to die on the cross for our sins.

Romans 10:9-13

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

You simply need to believe. If you grew up in church or lived a terrible life no one is to bad for God – A person does not have to “clean up his act” before coming to Christ. The Holy Spirit will help with that when the time is right. Jesus died on the cross to take away all of your sin. Being good is not good enough, and again no one is to bad to be forgiven and all you need to do is simply believe.

“Receiving Christ” Means to recognize your belief in Christ, inviting him to come into your life, turning to God and repenting and then letting God direct your life! The moment you ask, it’s done and Jesus has come into your heart.

A Prayer for is your ready to accept Jesus as your Savior: (out of KJV Study BIBLE)

Dear God, I know that my sin has separated me from you. Thank you that Jesus Christ died in my place. I ask Jesus to forgive my sin and to come into my life. Please begin to direct my life. Thank you for giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

That’s It! Welcome to God’s family 🙂

The World Through Him Might Be Saved

Just a heads up first to let you know this is right out of my study Bible. Word for Word. I wanted to make sure you got the message so I didn’t want to chance that not happening if I put it in my own words.

John 3:10-21

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Knowledge is not salvation. Nor is good works. You should know the Bible, but even more important, you should understand the God whom the Bible reveals and the salvation that God offers.

When the Israelites were wandering in the wilderness, God sent a plague of serpents to punish the people for their rebellious attitudes. Those doomed to die from snakebite could be healed by obeying God’s command to look up at the elevated bronze serpent and by believing that God would heal them if they did (Numbers 21: 8-9) Similarly, our salvation happens when we look up to Jesus, believing he will save us. God has provided this way for us to be healed of sin’s deadly bite.

The entire Gospel comes into focus in this verse. God’s love is not static or self-centered; it reaches out and draws others in. Here God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships — when you love someone dearly, you are willing to give freely to the point of self-sacrifice. God paid dearly with the life of his Son, the highest price he could pay. Jesus accepted our punishment, paid the price for our sins, and then offered us the new life he had bought for us. When we share the Gospel with others, our love must be like Jesus’–willingly giving up our own comfort and security so that others might join us in receiving God’s love.

Some people are repulsed by the idea of eternal life because their lives are miserable. But eternal life is not an extension of man’s miserable, mortal life; eternal life is God’s life embodied in Christ, given to all believers now as a guarantee that they will live forever. Internal life there is no death, sickness, enemy, evil, or sin. When we don’t know Christ, we make choices as though this life were all we had. In reality, this life is just the introduction to eternity. Receive this new life by faith and begin to evaluate all that happens from an eternal perspective.

To believe is more than an intellectual agreement that Jesus is God. It means to put our trust and confidence in him that he alone can save us. It is to put Christ in charge of our present plans and eternal destiny. Believing is both trusting his words as reliable and relying on him for the power to change. If you have never trusted Christ, let this promise of everlasting life be yours.

People often try to protect themselves from their fears by putting their trust in something they do or have: their good works, their skill or intelligence, their money or possessions. But only God can save us from the one thing we really need to fear–eternal condemnation. We believe in God by recognizing the insufficiency of our own efforts to find salvation and by asking him to do his work in us. When Jesus talks about unbelievers, he means those who reject or ignore him completely, not those who have momentary doubts.

Many people don’t want their lives exposed to God’s light because they are afraid of what it will reveal. They don’t want to be changed. Don’t be surprised when these same people are threatened by your desire to obey God and do what is right because they are afraid that the light in you may expose some of the darkness in their lives. Rather than giving in to discouragement, keep praying that they will come to see how much better it is to love in light than in darkness.

Keep Your Faith Firm

John 2:23-25

23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feastday, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

25 and needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Jesus, the Son of God, knows all about human nature. He was well aware of the truth of Jeremiah 17:9, which states, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jesus was discerning and he knew that the faith of some would-be followers was superficial. Some of the same people claiming to believe when it is exciting and everyone else believes the same way. But keep your faith firm even when it isn’t popular to follow Christ. – Study Bible KJV

Not My Home

As Born Again people

We will suffer in this world, but we are not of this world.

“This world is not our home. We are just passing through. We do not belong here. Everything down here offends us as Christians if we are a true believer. We march to a different drumbeat. What the world applauded, we don’t. What the world approves of, we don’t. We get offended by the things we see on the television, we get offended by the things we read online and in the paper. No one cares about us, or our likes, or our dislikes. We are the smallest minority group on Earth. We are living for Christ in a hostile world that is corrupt and broken because of sin. It is anything but easy. The Lord never said the Christian life would be easy. ” – Pastor Allen

While you are here arm yourself with the power of God. Pray, read God’s word, worship Him, and praise him.  He will walk you through and be there by your side during troubles and tribulations. I really don’t know how unsaved people get through the tough times in life on their own. The hard times is when we need to lean on him the most and give him the weight to carry our burdens. He want’s to do that for you. I know God has done this for me many times and he is with me always no matter what is going on.

1 Peter 5:8-11

8 Be Sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour: 9 whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, Make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen

(Stablish: establish)

“If you are not saved, I would not want to trade places with you, if you had everything going for you and were worth a Million Dollars.”

A Light In This Dark World

Matthew 5:13-16 13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

If a seasoning had no flavor, it has no value. If Christians make no effort to affect the world around them, they are of little value to God. If we are too much like the world, we are worthless. Christians should not blend in with everyone else. Instead, we should affect others positively, just as seasoning brings out the best flavor in food.

You can not hide a city that is sitting on top of a hill if the lights are one. You can see the lights for miles and miles. If we live for Christ, we will glow like lights, showing others what Christ is like. We hide our lights by:

  • being quiet
  • following the ways of the world, going with the crowd
  • denying the light
  • letting sin dim out light
  • not explaining our light to others or
  • ignoring the needs of others

Be a beacon of truth – don’t shut your light off from the rest of the world.

Did Man Write the Bible?

Listed below are some ways we know the man did NOT write the bible and also, what I am going to say next is contrary to what some teach but man is a complete failure in this day and age of Grace, as well as in every dispensational age. This includes me and you. We do not deserve what Jesus has done for us. But it is given to us, as a gift, from God. It is up to us to accept.

Over and over again we have proven that we fail when tested and we like to blame everything on the Devil. It’s never our fault its always the Devils fault. “The Devil made me do it”. But really it is our fault and it comes from our old sinful nature – the flesh. That is if you have been saved by the grace of God.

  1. Adam and Eve – ate from the tree the were told not to. Genesis 3:3-6
  2.  Abraham – He told the king that his wife, was his sister. He turned coward and let his wife be taken into the king’s Harem because she was so pretty he thought they would kill him to get to her. Genesis 12:10-20
  3. Moses – He writes the first 5 books of the old testament. He was always losing his temper. He murdered an Egyptian man. Exodus 2:10-22
  4. David – He had multiple wives and stole Bathsheba from another man, had his way with her, and then proceeded to have her husband killed.  2 Samuel 11
  5. Peter – Denied knowing God 3 times after promising that he would never do that. John 18:13-27
  6. The bibles heros are criticized and their mistakes and failures are there in detail.
  7. The old testament shows the nation of Israel as a humiliating record of unbelief, treachery, stubbornness, and rebellion.

Do you think if Moses wrote the book and the words he wrote if they were not inspired by God that he would have left those parts out? If these men had it their way they would have left those things out. I am sure all of these men would have loved to have all these things deleted out of the bible. I hope this helps you believe!

To finish this off, God still forgave them and loved each and everyone of those who did wrong and still used each of them to do his work. That does not mean that they didn’t go unpunished for their sins. No matter how badly you feel you may have been of a disappointment to God or messed up or how far away you may feel, He still wants a relationship with you and wants to forgive you, love you, use you. All you need to do is get down on your knees and talk to him, ask and trust. I hope this helps you realize that you can’t do anything bad enough that God will not love or accept you. The Devil is want’s you to believe that.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 10:9-13 King James Version (KJV)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Misinterpreting the Bible

Dispensational Truths #2

We need to be aware of misinterpreting the bible. It is done far too often. What I mean by this is taking a verse or verses and applying them to a situation that has nothing to do with those verses. Keep in mind,  If we can rightly divide the bible then we can certainly wrongly divide it.

If you are being taught something I strongly suggest you go back and reread it for yourselves and check out the whole chapter. You may find out what was taught to you was not what the bible said at all. And the bible warns us of false leaders.

Matthew 7:15

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

The worst is when people pick the book up and flip through it, stop and point at a random verse and assume that is what God is speaking to them today. That is not using the bible in the correct manner. It’s not a magic book, or a spin the wheel to see what you have won like what you would find at an amusement park.

Be certain and sure of the Divine Inspiration of the Scripture.

Timothy 3: 16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

If the book is not inspired then you cannot rely on anything in it, but if it is inspired then you can depend on everything in it. Every part of the bible, big or small is inspired just as much as the other. It is all equally inspired. Every word of the bible is inspired and every word counts just as much as the other.

2 Peter 1: 19-21

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The spirit of God gave him the words.

You can put your confidence in the promises of the word of God.

Skepticism of inspired scripture come from the Devil himself, from the old sin nature, which is hesitant to believe the truth.

If you feel like you have found errors or contradictions in the bible it is because you have not gotten all the facts. Ask your self these questions, Who is speaking?, Who is he speaking too?, When did he say that? What age? What was it he said? What place did this happen in? is it literal, figurative, or symbolic?

Answer all of these questions and then the bible will divide correctly and flow together nicely.

Dispensational Truths

What is Dispensation? A period of time, during which man has been tested with respect to his obedience to some specific revelation of the will of God. There are 7 dispensations in the Bible.

During those periods of time, man has been tested and tried on the presence of Obedience, and in every case, man has failed. Man is a sinner and If you are saved we are in a constant battle with our old flesh.

The 7 dispensations in the bible are:

  1. Dispensation of Innocence
  2. Dispensation of Conscience
  3. Dispensation of Government
  4. Dispensation of Promise
  5. Dispensation of Law
  6. Dispensation of Grace (we are in this now)
  7. Dispensation of Millennial Kingdom of Christ

Dispensation #6 Age of Grace. To Believe in Jesus, The Son of God (John 3:18)

  • We are now in the age of Grace
  • No one knows when this period of Grace will end.
  • A new covenant in Christ’s blood. Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
  • This age occurs between the 69th and the 70th week. Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
  • In 1 Thessalonians 4, it tells us this age started with the coming of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost and ends with the Rapture.
  • World wide
  • Includes Jews and Gentiles

The point of learning about the dispensational truths is to be able to rightly divide the word of truth. You can not understand the bible if you don’t understand the dispensational truths. You will get confused and find contradictions. If you find contradictions then you are wrongfully dividing the word of truth. The bible does not contradict itself.

Ask yourself when reading:

  • Who is speaking
  • Who is he speaking too?
  • When did he say that? What age?
  • What was it he said?

God wants to forgive

I mentioned about the bad habits…the smoking and the drinking. I was, I think, borderline Alcoholic. There I said it out loud. (well wrote it lol) I’m clearly still dealing with some of that but It is getting so much easier and life is so much more enjoyable.

However, I did not get here overnight. Not even close. God wouldn’t leave me alone to give it ALL up. There was this gut wrenching feeling of guilt and my annoying voice in my head telling me every time I put that drink to my lips not to do it. Did I listen? Nope…Do I wish I did? Yes…I wish I had listened sooner. But that was me being Stubborn Ash…as usual.

You ever have someone hold you down, and they would tap on your forehead over and over until you named ten chocolate bars or something silly like that? LOL I know what a silly game. That is what this felt like. He was telling me and wasn’t leaving it alone that I needed to change get rid of the sin.

This made me pay more attention to the sin in my life and to the areas God may have wanted me to change, like poor decisions, bad habits, shameful behaviors. As a christian we are all still sinners, it is impossible not to be as humans.

Overcoming smoking and alcohol took me a lot of tries and fails over and over again. They have been crutches and security blankets my whole life. I knew God wasn’t going to leave it alone. He wanted better for me, and I knew his way was always better than my way.

I got down on my knees while bawling my eyes out and prayed for the Lord to help me and to be in my life, to help me change. It didn’t scare me anymore, how hard it was going to be to change or the bumps in the road along the way. I knew I could do it with his help. God provided me the tools and the support I needed to overcome the things that needed to be changed.

It is Gods grace and love that frees us and changes us. How exciting to know that even when we are not faithful he is still faithful to us and that he loves us when we are not easy to love, He loves the weak, He loves the undeserving, He loves the wretched, He loves you.

He forgives. Forgiveness brings true joy. Only when we ask God to forgive our sins, will he give us real happiness and relief from guilt. We can not hide from him, and he knows what we have done anyways so why not just ask him to forgive you?!

Psalm 32: 1-2
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

David expresses his joy for forgiveness. God had forgiven him for the sins he had committed against Bath-sheba and Uriah. (click the link to read about that in this blog.) https://whenyouhavefaith.com/2019/07/17/your-sin-will-be-forgiven/

“God wants to forgive sinners. Forgiveness has always been part of his loving nature. He announced it to Moses (Exodus 34:6,7); he revealed it to David; he dramatically showed it to the world through Jesus Christ. These verses convey several aspects of God’s forgiveness: He forgives disobedience, covers sin, and clears our record of guilt. Paul quoted these verses in Romans 4: 7, 8 and showed that we can have this joyous experience of forgiveness through faith in Christ”. – Study Bible KJV

1Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.

“Lions attack sick, young or struggling animals; they choose victims who are alone or not alert. Peter warns us to watch out for Satan when we are suffering or prosecuted. If you are feeling alone, weak, helpless and cut off from other believers, or if you are so focused on your troubles that you forget to watch for danger, those are the times when you are especially vulnerable to Satan’s attacks. During times of suffering, seek other Christians for support. Keep your eyes on Christ and resist the devil. Then, says James, “he will flee from you” – Study Bible KJV

Just Trying To Get You Saved

Romans 10:9-13

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you have been born again you are sanctified by the god the father, you are preserved in Jesus Christ, you have been called by the holy spirit, no one has ever had so much going for them as the people that have been come under the blood of Calvary’s cross, saved by the blood of the lamb. It is an amazing privileged, those of you who have been saved, born again.

If you have never been saved and you don’t know for sure if you will go to heaven right away if you were to die right now. Know that you can be saved. You can go right to heaven if you die today. It does NOT matter what you have done or what has happened in the past. ALL can be forgiven. It doesn’t matter how deep of a hole you are in or how dark it may be, ALL can be forgiven. Just open your heart and ask the savior to come in, ask him, “God save me now from all my sin for Jesus’ name I ask it, Amen.”

Romans 10:13

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

You don’t have to know anything about the bible all you have to know is you are a poor lost sinner and Christ died for you on the cross and rose again. HE paid in full for your sin, he will save you from your guilt, punishment and your penalty of sin. You can be saved and know it. I pray for those of you who are reading this that the holy spirit will speak to you and you will believe and ask the Lord to come into your heart and save you from your sins. I’m not trying to get you to become a member of a church, to sign a contract or change your whole life, just trying to get you saved, no gimmick, no tricks, no magic. If you want to go to hell that is your choice, up to you, it is a free country. I don’t want to go to hell, that is why I got saved, The choice is yours. Come to Christ and go to heaven, reject Christ and go to hell. That’s it. No one even has to know you ask Christ in. Say a prayer in your head and just ask! It’s between you and God. No one else.

Pray For God’s Protection

Psalm 17: 1-15

Hear the right, O Lord , attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips. Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal. Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer. Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly. They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth; Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places. Arise, O Lord , disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword: From men which are thy hand, O Lord , from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. Psalms 17:1‭-‬15 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.17.1-15.KJV

Handiwork

When you look at a sky that looks like this weather it be out your window, on your drive or a photo how do you feel? What is your first reaction? God’s craftsmanship is all around us, and on display. The power and the beauty of the skies and nature around us is evidence of God’s existence, his power, his love, and his care. He created the Heavens, and the skies show his handiwork.

A New Testament Call To Wisdom

Wisdom is the mind of God revealed. To understand how to become wise , we need to listen to his wisdom calling and instructing us through out the book of proverbs. God is more than willing to give us his wisdom and advice, we just need to be willing to listen and refuse to let pride stand in our way. We mustn’t think we know better then God or feel we have no need for his direction and guidence, otherwise we have only fallen into foolish pride.

I know this next part may seem a little long but please stay and continue to read. I feel there is some important things in here that God is weighing on my heart to tell you about 💗

Proverbs 1:1-33 kjv

1 1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; 2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;  4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. 5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. 11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: 13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: 15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: 16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. 17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. 18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. 19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: 21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, 22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. 24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; 27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: 30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. 32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

  • Knowledge is plentiful, but wisdom is scarce.
  • Be open to the advice and learning from others.
  • Actions speak louder then words
  • Unfortunately, sin is attractive
  • Wisdom is the mind of God revealed
  • Don’t fall into foolish pride.

The first step to wisdom is to “fear the LORD,” to honour and respect God, to live in awe of his power. Is your faith in God controling your attitude and actions?

According to Solomon the kind of person who is a know-it-all, and has a dogmatic opinion about everything is a fool and is one of the most annoying types of people. Dont be a know-it-all!

“A fool is not someone with a mental deficiency, but someone with a character deficiency, such as being rebellious, lazy, or angry. The fool is not dumb or stupid, but is unable to tell right from wrong or good from bad.”

Values in our home is important. This is how children learn values, morals, and priorities by watching how, us as parents, are acting every day in every situation. The most important role model in a child’s life is the same sex parent. If parents show a deep dependance and relationship with God and live the faith, the child will catch on.

Sin offers a quick fix and easily makes us feel like “one of the crowd.” (Still feeling alone, still not feeling like you belong, like something is missing, lost, never feeling fulfilled, at peace etc.) When we go along with others and refuse to listen to the truth we are creating our own shipwreck. Turn and run from sin. It is not cowardly, but brave.

“Remember, a dead fish can float downstream, but it takes a live fish to go against the flow.”W. C. Fields

Sin, even when it is attractive is still deadly. Try to make your choices by praying to God, being guided by scripture and thinking about the long term effects, not based off of an instant pleasure that has a flashy appeal. In the long run, that flashy appeal is only a cover up, its a trap from the devil. (This makes me think of sugar…it taste good at the moment then you feel yucky afterwards, and what it does to your insides…eew right?) Pray to God to help reveal these traps to uou so he can help you over come them as well.

Being “greedy of gain” is one of satan’s most dependable traps. He relies on this trap because it is so easy to get people to fall in it. It begins when he puts the idea in our heads that we can not live without some possession or more money. It then consumes our minds and becomes an obsession where it is all we can think about and focus on. Satan would rather us have our focus on that, then on our faith in God. The one who is true to us and loves us. Pray that Gods spirit will help you over come this as well.
